GUIDED IMAGERY
What is guided imagery? Essentially, it is a flow of thoughts you can see, hear, feel, smell or taste. An image is an inner representation of your experiences as a way your brain codes, stores and expresses information. It is the language of the arts, the emotions, and most importantly, of the deeper self.
Guided imagery has become the treatment choice for stress reduction, sustaining attention/concentration, personal growth, and enrichment in health and wellness. I offer these techniques in conjunction with cognitive retraining because they have become an instrumental component of my curriculum and have gained much popularity with my clients for healing and recovery.
FAMILY EDUCATION
In my experience, the ABI survivor benefits most when family and/or significant others are involved in the rehabilitative process. I offer family sessions where concerns can be addressed to maximize the outcome of the individual client.
